My Approach
I carefully select meaningful projects that lead to positive transformation. I inspire, motivate and enable human behaviour change. I apply life-centered participatory design methods to complex business, brand and systems problems.
My Story
I am a creative strategist and technologist. I studied Design, Art & Anthropology at Vassar College. I did an internship at the Brooklyn Museum doing exhibition design, and my first proper jobs were in graphic design and desktop publishing in New York. I moved to Amsterdam and worked as an off-set printer and setter, helping move the operation from photo-mechanical to digital. Next I became an interaction designer working on e-commerce and media publishing systems. This evolved into interactive animation and motion design. I moved to Los Angeles where I worked for kids entertainment brands and toys; again, physical and digital. People started calling me a UX Designer.
I moved again back to the land where I was born, England, to work on digital health information at the NHS. That's where I met the good folks of Fjord (now Accenture Song), who said I was actualy a Service Designer! So, I joined them in Spain, working in the financial services, fashion retail, commercial aviation and beauty sectors.
For the last 15 years that's what I've been doing. In a nutshell. From Madrid to Milan, Sao Paulo to Singapore, Bogota to Bangkok. I even did another stint in New York City, as the Executive Director of Service Design for The Estee Lauder Companies.
Now, it's 2026. I live and work in London, where I also teach Design & Innovation Management at UAL.
Thank you for reading. It is becoming a lost art.
